Privacy policy
How Brick's Foundation collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: October 2026
Who we are
Brick's Foundation for Autism Inclusion is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in England and Wales. Registration with the Charity Commission is in progress. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website. You can contact us at our email address, or by phone or WhatsApp on +44 7834 806844. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to send us through our forms:
- Volunteer form: your name, email, country, how you would like to help and your message.
- Share your story: the name you choose to show, your email, who you are, your country and your story.
- Lucca's Wall: your name, how you knew Lucca, your email, your message and any photos, videos or PDFs you add. Your name, how you knew Lucca, your message and your files are published on the wall straight away. Your email is never published; only the family can see it.
- Award applications: your organisation's details, a contact name, email and phone, your completed questionnaire and any files you upload as evidence. We use them only to assess the application. Please do not upload photos or details of children or clients without permission.
- Award nominations: your name and email, and the name, role, country and (optionally) email of the person or group you nominate, with your reasons. We use them only to consider the nomination, and may contact the nominee.
We do not use cookies for advertising. To count visitors and the countries they come from, the footer shows a free visitor counter from Flag Counter (flagcounter.com). When you visit, your browser connects to Flag Counter, which records your approximate country from your internet address. We only see the totals.
The Brick's Foundation app keeps everything you add (schedules, ticks, your own cards) on your own phone. We receive none of it, and the app has no account, adverts or tracking.
How we use it
- To reply to you and organise volunteering.
- To publish stories, only when you have given permission, and only the name you choose. Posts on Lucca's Wall are published as soon as you send them. We never publish email addresses.
Our lawful basis is your consent, and our legitimate interest in running the Foundation and replying to you. We never sell or share your information for marketing.
Who processes it for us
- Netlify hosts this website, receives form submissions and stores posts on Lucca's Wall on our behalf. Netlify may store data outside the UK, with safeguards required by UK data protection law.
- Google Workspace provides our email.
- Google Fonts supplies the website's fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit.
- Language menu: choosing Português, Español or Français opens our own translated pages. No cookie is used for this.
How long we keep it
We delete form submissions within 12 months, unless you are an active volunteer or your story or message is published. Published content stays online until you ask us to remove it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your permission to publish, at any time by emailing us. To remove a post from Lucca's Wall, use the "Report" link on the post or email us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
We ask anyone under 16 to send stories or messages with the help of a parent or carer.
