For everyone
Accessibility statement
We want this website to be easy and comfortable to use for everyone, including autistic and disabled visitors.
Last updated: October 2026
How we designed it
- Calm colours, plenty of space and no flashing, moving or auto-playing content.
- A typeface designed for readability (Atkinson Hyperlegible) and plain English.
- Calm mode, at the top of every page, makes text larger and turns down the colours.
- The site follows your device's light or dark setting, and works with keyboards and screen readers.
- Pages work on phones, tablets and computers.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
Known limits
- The Portuguese, Spanish and French pages are translated with the help of AI and may contain small mistakes. If you notice one, please tell us.
- Some photos and stories are still being added.
